Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson (born Kristen Noel Swanson) is an American actor, who gained notoriety in the role of Buffy Summers. Her other parts include Rebecca Becky Granger, in the television film Nightingales & the short lived NBC Show with the same title; Erica Paget as Early Edition on CBS and Marlowe Viccellio as Psych. Being a native of California, Swanson was interested in acting from the time she was a child. She started working in the advertising world, appearing in many commercials. She made her screen debut in the episode on NBCs sitcom It's Your Time in 1984. In the romantic comedy Pretty in Pink, Swan made her first appearance on the big screen. Swan was known for her gorgeous blonde lisp and breathless voice. Recently, she's shifted from playing main characters to secondary characters. She won the Young Artist Award in 1989 for the Best Young Actress in Horror or Mystery Motion Pictures to portray Flowers in the Attic.
