As I was a mom with one child at my side and other children within the cradle was working 12 hour shifts cleaning floors and tear off wallpaper. Ha! Ha! It all started to be clear, but was far from finished. To furnish the home it would be a huge effort with regards to time and money. I would also have to do my favourite shopping. In order to stay within my budget, I took my boys along to search for treasures in estate sales. Our weekly routine that included spending the week of Thursday to Saturday scouring sale houses and garages, shopping for new and used items. I spent the rest of the week painting and sanding on the driveway. The furniture looked like this... which is where I found my love for restoration. Once our home was completed, I was unable to give up! The local market had space for me to market my items. Eventually I had more pieces that I knew about and had outgrown the space. There were open houses in my home which saw over 1 000 guests would come through in a single weekend and could buy anything they saw on the ground floor. Growing Days was founded in my own home. Growing Days was not only an extremely successful company, it was as well my family. The balance between work and family was crucial for me. I wanted to balance being a mother as well as a business owner who was successful. Growing Days seemed like the best combination. My precious Nora arrived in the year 2013, our fourth baby. The direction of my business was excellent, however I had to take some time off. I decided to quit working on my antique furniture and be at home with the kids. That was precisely what I was looking for. Within a couple of months, the phone began to begin to. I began receiving messages from individuals asking for assistance with home improvements and interior design. A majority of them visited my home during my furniture open houses. The time flew by before I managed a large-scale home renovation company. I began by taking clients at a pace that I was confident in. When you first spoke to me about my home renovation business I laughed. Indeed, I am laughing a little when I remember the story.
